Preliminary Evaluation Results
Survey designed and tabulated by faculty and staff from Fordham University’s Human Resource Masters Program
Below is a summary of initial evaluation results for participants in the Resiliency Edge pilot training at JFK, including staff from Swissport who provide airline support in the International Air Terminal and employees from Bombardier Air Train and 5 Star Parking:
- 1. The number that say stresses are increasing for them as stresses increase for travelers:
- 70.3% or seven out of ten.
- 2. Personal awareness of their resiliency strengths - ie, inherent "strengths" they possess to manage pressures - BEFORE the Resiliency Edge class:
- Low - 25%
- Some - 42%
- A lot - 25%
- A great deal - 7%
- 3. Personal awareness of resiliency strengths AFTER taking the training class:
- Some - 5%
- A lot - 54%
- A great deal - 41%
(The number saying their awareness increased "a lot" following the training class doubled, while the number saying their awareness increased "a great
deal" increased from 7% to 41% after taking the class.)
- 4. Number saying they found the "tools" in the training "useful" and expected them to be "helpful" on the job:
